2018 great flood

The great flood of 2018, the whole state was devastated / inundated by the severity of it... Nature didn't take much time to dictate the terms, even though the National disaster team and defence forces were on the field, there were many pockets of area that was not addressed, with proximity to us..we were lucky to have escaped the nature's fury.. we were simply restless for we could do nothing about it, yet we had to do something to help those frantic SOS calls on TV. Babu called me for ways to help, Joe too was ready didnt take much time to decide... there was no time left...Joe had some good diver friends and students and regular football friends... that was when i knew playing football with youngsters, was easy to get volunteers.. making make-shift rafts and arranging PFD' s and whistles were part of my job, as well as arrange some materials by Lodge Sarvothama 176, TCS Kochi,  individuals.....etc; was not surprised how kind hearted people just started pouring in with money and materials.

 Humanity existed always around us.... was the proof for it.

Road trip through SW Europe...🚙🚙 13 September to 29 September 2024

 Going back 2 months, the planning began with semifinals #1 and #2 of route map to scale this SW Europe on road. Had to go for Schengan visa, stays to be arranged, car to be booked, flights to be booked, why which destination to land, which country visa is easy. doubts aplenty, got cleared one by one.In Europe the summer was on its last days by September. Earlier want to go in August, asked Dominic chettan and Benty chechi, if they are coming, but they had some constraints, Linus and Grace are in Canada, so that left Sonny and Reeta, but they can travel only on Onam holidays i.e 10 days, that was a drop and had to step down to accomodate.... 10 days stretched to 12 for them.    

Day 1 and Day 2 Landed in Zurich, Switzerland, stayed in Kussaberg, Kadelburg,Germany

                                

                         Day 3 : The looooong 550+ KM 3 stops- drive to Italy;                                                                                             

Driving cross country from the north of Switzerland to the very south and into Milan (Milano) Italy, destination Padua and Venice. Like an Eagle, this little bird flew through the Alps mountains sometimes over it sometimes through it, with picture post card views on both sides, gave the passengers the breathtaking sights as we drove, me couldn't blink when we stopped and stepped out, cause i want to see it all. The drive was the best of it. Thanking God for the opportunity, i had dreamt maybe 25 years ago.
